„Music for Plants and People“- also this year the Kunsthaus Dresden together with the „Flora I“ e. V. invites you to extraordinary musical encounters between apple trees and herb gardens in Striesen: From old folk tunes from Eastern Europe, various contemporary varieties of pop, cello suites to hip hop and artistic performances – on two afternoons of concerts we cordially invite you to join us in celebrating the coming together of people, plants and art with a variety of different musical styles and genres. In addition to enjoying music outdoors, there will be short tours and conversation opportunities about six garden art projects and the pavilion exhibition in Flora I.

Marieluise Herrmann and Jakoba Schönbrodt-Rühl sing and play handpicked song delicacies from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean – matured in the Georgian sun, with dulcimer garnish, refined with Mediterranean herbs. Dobrou chuť!

GATO COSETTI (Bossanova, Samba)
Born in Colombia, Dresden musician Gato Cossetti takes us on a journey through the musical history of bossanova and samba, jazz and pop with the acoustic guitar and his own compositions.

JOHN MOODS (Pop)
Unique romantic-spiritual outsider pop meets 80’s yacht rock and the energy of a young Bruce Springsteen. With „The Great Design“ John Moods, co-founder of the art-pop band Fenster, has meanwhile released his third solo album.

The music of different epochs meets the own compositions of the Dresden cellist Benjamin Arnold. With a loop station, fascinating timbres and spaces are created.
17:10 TRETA MOMINKA (vocal ensemble)
Loss, entanglements, longings and desires – in old folk songs from Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia and Italy, which the Dresdner Vokalensemble intones anew, love often plays the secret leading role. Marleen Andreev, Sarah Hesse and Juliane Schmidt take you into unfamiliar worlds of sound with their powerful harmony singing.

16:15 NOUK (Chamber Pop)
Filigree string melodies interweave with guitar and vocals – the indietronic & chamber pop band from Dresden and Leipzig defines classical song structures in interplay with drums, synth basses and piano to create new colorful arrangements. Singer Anna-Lucia Rupp and guitarist Max Grüner are accompanied by jazz saxophonist Laurenz Welten.
18:00 SCHIELZ (Hip-Hop, Rap)
Dresden-based musician and passionate producer Schielz presents astute observations, humorously packaged in intricate sentences and catchy beats with a mix of wit and emotionality.
